I was recently informed by a Russian colleague that your dad timed 1-03.29 for a standing kilo at Colorado Springs back in July 1984, but can't find any independent confirmation of any competition or result from then. I've also seen a few pictures from La Paz which appear to show him beginning a standing start effort but the only info I have from his visit to Bolivia is the flying 500m WR time. I'd be really interested to find out whether he did make other attempts while he was there and if so what the results were. I'd be very grateful if you could put me in touch.
